Coaching and parenting support

What is parenting coaching?

Parental coaching sessions are designed to help parents maintain good family harmony. To this end, our branches offer several 60-minute meetings between parents and a neuropsychologist.

The first step is to help parents identify the most problematic situations, and provide them with concrete tools to deal with them effectively.

As the dynamics vary from one family to the next, the course and number of sessions are not defined in advance. We can therefore offer you a personalized follow-up based on the changes made within the family from one session to the next.

Why use our parenting coaching and support services?

The role of parent is not always an easy one. In addition to the constraints of daily life, we have to find quality time to invest with our young people, while being able to set limits when necessary.

For some parents, the task becomes even more difficult when faced with children who oppose their requests, argue incessantly, lack respect, shout at the slightest annoyance...

For these parents, the family environment can become a place of tension and stress, leading to marital conflict. In this context, it can be reassuring to take stock of the situation with a professional, who can then suggest concrete ways of making the family nest a comforting and reassuring place.

Who are the speakers?

Our team is made up of neuropsychologists, psychoeducators and psychotherapists, all of whom are university-trained and have many years' experience in dealing with the various difficulties that young people encounter.

When should you call on the services of a parenting or family coach?

  • Managing parenting: If you feel overwhelmed by the challenges of parenting and need advice on how to better manage your children.

  • Improving family communication: when exchanges between family members are strained or intergenerational conflicts arise.

  • Major changes in family life: In the event of divorce, moving house, or the arrival of a new baby, a coach can help you manage these transitions smoothly.

  • Behavioral problems in children: If your child presents difficulties such as sleep disorders, anxiety, or discipline problems.

  • Preventing and strengthening relationships: If you want to anticipate potential problems and strengthen your relationship with your children.

What's the difference between a parenting coach and a psychologist?

A parenting coach focuses on the practical aspects of parenting and family management. He or she offers concrete advice on solving everyday problems, such as children's behavior or communication within the family.

Its approach is generally focused on short-term goals and does not address psychological disorders.

As for the professional, he or she is trained to diagnose and treat psychological disorders such as anxiety or depression

To do this, he uses therapeutic techniques to help resolve deeper, often long-term, problems. Also, during the sessions, he will address the emotional and mental aspects in greater depth than the parenting coach.
