Justine Lahaie
In 2017, Justine Lahaie completed her master's degree in psychoeducation at the Université de Sherbrooke, enabling her to become a member of the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec (OPPQ).
Before obtaining her psychoeducator title, Justine held several jobs as an early childhood educator and specialized educator, which brought her into contact with a variety of clienteles: early childhood, parenting, the Aboriginal community, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, high-potential clients, attention deficit disorder, and more.
Having joined CERC in 2020, Justine started out offering individual psycho-educational follow-up and greatly contributed to the development of this then fledgling department at the clinic. She has since diversified her activities, and is now responsible for supervising our psycho-education trainees, developing our early childhood service offering, and coordinating our institutional partnerships. She also participates in the ASD assessment process, administering the ADOS-2 test battery.
Alongside her activities at the clinic, Justine has a keen interest in research. She is completing her doctoral thesis in education. Justine is interested in the experiential knowledge of parents with a child presenting with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She was the 2017 recipient of a bursary of excellence from the Institut en déficience intellectuelle et en trouble du spectre de l'autisme. In addition, Justine holds occasional lecturing and co-tutoring positions with master's students in various university departments.
Dynamic, empathetic and a good listener, Justine is passionate about her job and is always ready to take on new challenges.
In her spare time, she particularly enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, doing outdoor activities and enjoying nature.
