CERC submits to Bill 25, which will come into force in the fall of 2022, and which aims to increase the protection of personal information in several areas, including health, and to modernize Quebec's legislation in this area. Our new provisions for preserving confidentiality, in accordance with the bill, include the following:

  • Designation of a person responsible for the protection of personal information (Fanny P. Paquin, Director of Administration and Human Resources - fanny.p.paquin@cerc-neuropsy.com);
  • Keeping a register of confidentiality incidents;
  • Declaration to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec of any confidentiality incident, as well as to the persons affected;
  • Establishing and deploying a confidentiality incident management plan;
  • A transparent approach to consent and the collection of personal information.

Other measures will be phased in gradually until September 2024; this page will be gradually updated accordingly.
