Alexandra Virtosu

Psychoeducator

Alexandra Virtosu holds a master’s degree in psychoeducation from the University of Montreal and has been a member of the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec (OPPQ) since July 2025. Her career path has led her to work in schools, at CLSCs with families, and in youth centers with adolescents facing various adjustment difficulties. These experiences have enabled her to develop a practice that is attuned to the realities of young people, their environments, and the challenges they face on a daily basis. Alexandra primarily supports children, adolescents, and their parents with issues related to anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, oppositional behavior, and ADHD. She is also interested in relationship difficulties and family communication. She views parents as essential partners and supports them in finding approaches tailored to their family’s needs. Warm, attentive, and creative, Alexandra places great importance on building a relationship of trust. She tailors her interventions to each person’s needs, strengths, and pace. Play, creativity, and dialogue are natural components of her support, designed to facilitate self-expression and make learning tangible. Her goal is to help each young person better understand themselves, develop their ability to adapt, and acquire tools they can use in their daily lives.
