The tool's main objective is to provide relevant information, in terms of attitude and intervention, to welcome disclosures of sexual abuse in a reassuring, non-suggestive way. Emergency and specialized resources are also suggested, for both Quebec and France. It is important to remember that this document in no way replaces the intervention of a professional. When faced with a person who reveals that he or she is or has been a victim of sexual abuse, it is essential to call on specialized resources in this field.
