Kellie Raymond

Kellie holds a bachelor's degree in psychoeducation and is currently completing a master's degree in psychoeducation at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. During her university studies, she completed internships working with special-needs children and adolescents in schools and in the health and social services network within the youth mental health program. Her particular interest in child development led her to write her master's thesis on the parent-child relationship in the context of adoption, and to acquire specific knowledge on child attachment. Her experiences and the enrichment of her knowledge have enabled her to develop a particular expertise in accompanying a clientele ranging from children to adults who present a variety of problems: emotion management, social skills, opposition/provocation, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety/stress, parental support, parent-child/teen and young adult relationship difficulties. Dynamic and caring, Kellie adapts her interventions according to the targeted needs, whether through an individual or family approach. In her approach, she advocates the use of visual tools to support her interventions and facilitate understanding. According to Kellie, the key to successful psycho-educational support lies in taking into account a number of relational factors, including the involvement of family and friends, the establishment of a good therapeutic bond of trust, and consideration for each and every one! In her spare time, Kellie is probably spending her high energy levels playing outdoor sports or spending time with her loved ones and cats!
