Josiane Lemieux
Josiane holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in social work with honors from the Université de Sherbrooke, and has been a social worker for several years now. She has also taken a number of university courses in psychology and sexology, in order to develop further knowledge related to her practice. Currently, at CERC, Josiane offers psychosocial services and psychotherapy to children and adolescents, as a psychotherapy trainee. She uses cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and systemic approaches, in an integrative way, to take into account all the factors influencing situations and to adapt to the specific needs of each individual. Prior to joining CERC, Josiane worked primarily in the helping professions with children, adolescents and families dealing with a variety of issues, such as eating disorders, sexual abuse, physical and psychological abuse, neglect, domestic violence, anxiety, substance abuse, suicidal ideation and post-traumatic stress disorder. Dedicated, empathetic and attentive to the needs of each person she meets, she accompanies families on their journey with kindness. In her spare time, Josiane enjoys a variety of sports, travel and reading!
