Geneviève Boisvert-Pilon

With a bachelor's degree (2006) and a master's degree in sexology (2010), as well as a psychotherapist's license and certification in the IMO (eye movement integration) approach, Geneviève has explored a variety of intervention roles. She has worked as a sexologist, psychotherapist, crisis intervener and group facilitator with victims of crime, particularly victims of sexual violence, with a varied clientele (children, teenagers, adults). She has developed an interest and expertise in victims of sexual exploitation. A seasoned and appreciated trainer, Geneviève has trained many people working in youth protection, the school system, and mainly investigators from various police forces in the province. She is also an experienced supervisor of bachelor's, master's and psychotherapist license students.
Trained in the cognitive-behavioral approach, in her practice she uses an eclectic, integrative approach based on the client's needs, to help them achieve their goals and regain a comfortable balance in their lives. At CERC, Geneviève offers individual psychotherapy services to adults experiencing difficulties in different areas of their lives, such as sexuality, romantic or interpersonal relationships, difficulties adapting to new life situations, or wanting to understand more in order to feel better. In her personal life, she regularly goes hiking in the mountains and loves to cook (especially BBQ!).
