Dr Catherine Gagnon
Passionate about neuropsychology, Dr. Catherine Gagnon successfully completed her doctoral studies at the Université de Montréal. Her doctoral dissertation, entitled "Relationships between psychiatric history, personality traits, psychological syndromes and the outcome of patients with mild traumatic brain injury", testifies to her commitment to in-depth understanding of neurotraumatology.
During her two internships, at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) and the Centre de réadaptation de l'Estrie (CRE), Dr. Gagnon led neuropsychological assessments and follow-ups in the neurology department. These experiences have shaped her expertise, particularly in the management of neurological clients (e.g., neurodegenerative disorders, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, stroke, etc.).
Her career began at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Sherbrooke (CHUS), where she played a pivotal role in carrying out neuropsychological assessments and providing attentive follow-up for a diverse clientele, including neurological and traumatic brain injury patients.
Since joining CERC in January 2024, Dr. Gagnon has broadened her horizons by also focusing on neuropsychological assessment in children and adolescents. Her commitment, thoroughness and ability to listen continue to be invaluable assets in her work. This new direction reflects her constant desire to diversify her knowledge to better meet the varied needs of her clientele.
