Dahlia Abdul-Hadi

Psychoeducational Coordinator and Psychoeducator

Dahlia Abdul-Hadi holds bachelor's and master's degrees in psychoeducation from the Université de Montréal. She has been a member of the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec (OPPQ) since May 2024.

It was her desire to help others by building on their strengths and supporting their ability to adapt that led her to the field of psychoeducation. Since 2020, she has been working in the helping professions with a wide variety of clients. Her career path led her first to work as a youth worker in youth centers, then with adolescents and their families. She then accompanied young adults on their socio-professional journey, before specializing as a psychoeducator with adults who have experienced a traumatic event. She has also worked in prisons as a school success coach for men in conflict with the law.

Through these experiences, Dahlia has developed an expertise in accompanying adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of adjustment challenges: relationship difficulties, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attachment disorders, personality disorders, behavioral disorders, ADHD, oppositional disorder, traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder, school and career path issues, and social reintegration challenges.

In her practice, Dahlia places great importance on the therapeutic alliance, offering an authentic presence and sincere consideration for each person's experience. She adapts her approach by respecting each person's unique rhythm and needs. She is described as a warm, committed and humane professional.
