Catherine Hardy Baribeau

Psychotherapy trainee

Catherine studied psychology and psycho-education at UQTR and Université de Sherbrooke. During her training, she specialized in family, youth and mental health (child psychiatry). Following her graduation with a master's degree in psychoeducation in 2017, she accepted a position in youth mental health at a CLSC and has been working there for 7 years. Her experience includes offering individual, parental and family follow-up for a variety of conditions: relationship and attachment problems, depressive and anxiety symptoms, neurodiversity, personality disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, and more. She has worked more with a systemic and integrative approach, and is now focusing on developing her skills in the psychodynamic approach. She is also interested in psychogenealogy, trauma-sensitive, anti-oppressive and intersectional approaches. Catherine is also very interested in holistic, somatic and spiritual approaches, which take into account all the dimensions of the individual (heart, body and mind). With a decade of experience working with young people and their families as a psychoeducator, she now wishes to offer support to adults as part of her psychotherapy internship. In her personal life, Catherine is also an avid traveler, musician and cook.
