Adeline Servières

Psychoeducator

Adeline is a psychoeducator with a bachelor's degree, a certificate in psychosocial intervention, and a master's degree in psychoeducation from the University of Quebec in Outaouais. Working in forensic psychiatry for 15 years, she has developed a particular sensitivity to supporting people living with both serious mental disorders and issues of violence.

She has experience in crisis intervention and designing individualized intervention plans, always with the goal of leveraging her clients' strengths and abilities. Her research has led her to explore trauma-informed approaches, which now guide her practice.  She currently works as a counselor at the Philippe-Pinel National Institute of Legal Psychiatry, where she supports clinical teams and participates in various committees dedicated to improving care and services.

In her practice, Adeline focuses on human-centered, holistic approaches that draw on her clients' strengths. She places great importance on each person's experiences and background. For her, supporting someone means first and foremost creating a safe space where clients feel understood, respected, and supported, no matter how complex their situation may be.

As the mother of an 11-year-old boy, she is well aware of the daily challenges of parenting. She enjoys traveling, recharging her batteries with music, and sharing good times with her loved ones.
