Intensive summer programs

Have fun while you learn!
*Content for the 2024 summer season will be online in spring 2024*.

What are intensive psycho-educational intervention programs?

The intensive psycho-educational intervention programs for the summer season will run from July 3 to 28, 2023. You can register your child for one or more weeks. Please note that each week includes the same theme in a given age group (8-10 or 10-12). Please consult the information for each week below.

The intensive programs are part of a psycho-educational approach that enables children and pre-teens to develop socio-emotional skills. The child learns new strategies and skills through playful and enriching activities. The daily schedule is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

NB: we update program dates and information in February each year.

Improving socio-emotional skills

Is your child or pre-teen having difficulty with social skills, managing emotions, assertiveness or self-control? By participating in this group program, your child will learn about social skills and put them into practice through group games and reflection. It's the perfect opportunity for your child to bond with others and learn while having fun.

Quality, friendly relationships help improve self-esteem, socio-emotional well-being, social support and self-discovery (Rose and Asher 2000).

This evidence-based program is based on social cognitive theory and the cognitive-behavioral approach. It will be delivered by one or more members of the psycho-education team. Parents' involvement will be solicited in the form of documentation guiding home practice of the skills seen in session.
