These cards enable reading strategies to be learned and integrated when reading a text. This more advanced version is aimed at high school students, but may well be useful for learners with special needs at higher levels. The aim of these cards is to apply a given strategy to a word or part of a text, in an attempt to assimilate the various pieces of information. They can be used with a single student and a facilitator, or in sub-groups of 2 to 4 students. You'll need to print out the memory pages and have a text at the student's level on hand. This educational tool will enable students to apply the strategies while feeling equipped and guided.
