These cards help children learn reading strategies and integrate them when reading a text. This version is aimed at pupils in the second cycle of primary school, but may well be useful for children with special needs at higher levels. These cards focus on applying a given strategy to a word or part of a text, in an attempt to understand the various pieces of information. They can be used with a single student and a facilitator, or in sub-groups of 2 to 4 students. You'll need to print out the memory aid pages and have a text at the student's level on hand. This educational tool will enable students to apply the strategies while feeling equipped and guided.
