The Dear Grandma booklet is a great tool for developing reading processes in children aged 6 to 10. The text includes 4 versions. The first version is color-segmented by sound, to work on grapheme-phoneme correspondences. It can be used with one child or with 2 children. The second version is color-segmented by syllable, to develop syllabic reading. The third version is segmented in color by word group, to enhance the reader's fluency. Finally, the last version is not segmented by color. It allows you to work on reading and annotation strategies to improve reading comprehension. At the end of the document, you'll find comprehension, interpretation, appreciation and reaction questions. Your kids will love this fun tool!
