Whether it's excitement or anger, children and teenagers are regularly asked to "calm down". However, it can be difficult to find effective and varied strategies. This tool proposes different strategies, some of which can be carried out at home, others at school or in public places. To determine the effectiveness of a strategy, it's important that the child/adolescent perform it several times, for a sufficient length of time, and for different emotions. Indeed, it's possible that "thinking of a good memory" is ineffective when very angry, but effective during periods of stress.
